Create Project & Token

Creating a project, NFT, FT, and bulk upload.

Create a Project

Policy ID [CIP-25]

You can either create a new policy ID or use an existing one. Creating a new policy means it's the first time the collection will be minted and there is no existing supply. Using an existing policy usually means there is an existing supply and you want to add more tokens in that collection. You can choose between Mnemonic phrases or Cardano CLI to import policy on XFORGE. Policy Lock: You can set a date when will the policy locks or you can set it to never. When the policy is locked, you will not be able to add new tokens in the policy, edit metadata or burn tokens.

Metadata Format

This is optional, if you plan to bulk upload your files and their metadata, you should leave this field blanked. The (+) button must be clicked so that the metadata is added.

Royalty Token

A royalty token must be the first asset ever minted with the policy ID in regards with NFT collections, FT doesn't need royalty token. You can mint this after creating the project on XFORGE. To mint this, you need to input the percentage of share you want to receive for every secondary sale and the wallet address where you want the royalties to be sent.

Once the royalty token is minted, it will take effect on every token minted under that policy ID. The usual royalty share is set to 5% (still depends on you).

Create a Token

NFT and FT are native assets/tokens on Cardano. A non-fungible token (NFT) is a unique digital identifier that is recorded on a blockchain, and is used to certify ownership and authenticity. It cannot be copied, substituted, or subdivided. The ownership of an NFT is recorded in the blockchain and can be transferred by the owner, allowing NFTs to be sold and traded. A fungible token (FT) is an entirely interchangeable digital asset working similarly to currencies. Check the metadata on pool.pm to see if there are any errors.

Token type

Multiple NFTs feature is creating more than one NFT with the same media and metadata, or creating multiple copies/duplicates of the same NFT. The only difference they have are their serial numbers; token name example: NFTSample1, NFTSample2, NFTSample3, and so on. This can be utilized when you are a creator that wants to mint an NFT pass for your project, this will save you time and effort.

Bulk Upload

Generative collections with thousands of supply need to be uploaded in bulk. We are the only mint platform that offers effortless process for bulk uploading your NFTs, you just need to follow the filenames format stated below. Filenames cannot contain spaces. Subfiles and Metadata must have _subfile and _metadata appended to their filenames, respectively. Images of metadata files cannot be uploaded separately. We strongly suggest to limit your bulk upload up to 500 images to avoid errors.
